Morcote’s schools cater for pupils from the Municipalities of Morcote and Vico Morcote.

The infant school is located behind the historical centre, in a pedestrianised prime location.

Surrounded by greenery, it boasts a pleasant lake view that fosters a relaxed environment. The class can easily host between 10 and 20 pupils, in keeping with the requirements of the current year.

The elementary school benefits from a great location, overlooking the lake and surrounded by the setting of the monumental complex. Its 2 sections have between 10 and 20 pupils, with a mixed-year system that guarantees teaching.

The educational approach is not limited to the classroom, but takes advantage of the rare beauty of the surrounding area and includes targeted educational projects, such as:

Canteen

Available to pupils who attend the infant school and the elementary school, the canteen serves lunch every day of the week except Wednesdays. The service is operated by the municipality in partnership with the Associazione Luganese Famiglie Diurne.

After school

As in the case of the school canteen, and once again thanks to the collaboration with the Associazione Luganese Famiglie Diurne, pupils who attend school in Morcote can take advantage of the after-school service, which provides courses and activities suitable for different ages. These are available free of charge every day except Wednesdays.
